  • HISTORY ASPECTS:
  • The Boeing 777-300ER is one of the most successful long-range wide-body airliners ever produced, developed as an extended-range version of the 777-300. Powered by two enormous General Electric GE90-115B engines, the 777-300ER combines high passenger capacity with exceptional range and efficiency. Its strengthened structure, raked wingtips, advanced avionics, and powerful engines made it particularly well suited to demanding intercontinental routes, helping establish the 777 family as a dominant aircraft in long-haul commercial aviation.
  • American Airlines was the first U.S. airline to introduce the 777-300ER, making the aircraft an important part of its fleet modernization program. The airline's first example was delivered in December 2012, with 777-300ER service beginning in 2013. Registration N722AN, construction number 31547, was delivered to American Airlines in April 2013 and became one of the carrier's early 777-300ER aircraft. American used the type to expand capacity and provide premium long-haul service on major international routes.
  • N722AN has remained part of American Airlines' 777-300ER fleet, representing the airline's ability to connect the United States with major destinations around the world. The type has been used on important long-distance routes linking American hubs with cities in Europe, South America, Asia, and other international markets. As a commercial airliner, N722AN has no military conflict history; its significance lies in its contribution to modern global passenger aviation and the evolution of efficient, high-capacity intercontinental travel. American currently operates a fleet of 20 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with N722AN among them.
  • This 1:200 scale model in its flaps down configuration captures the aircraft's imposing proportions, enormous GE90 engines, swept wings, and recognizable American Airlines livery, making it an impressive centerpiece for collectors of modern commercial aviation and one of the most important wide-body aircraft of the 21st century.
