  • HISTORY ASPECTS:
  • The Boeing 737 MAX family was developed as the next generation of Boeing’s long-running 737 series, incorporating more efficient CFM LEAP-1B engines, advanced aerodynamics, updated flight systems, and improved fuel efficiency. The 737 MAX 8, designated 737-8 by the FAA, became one of the principal versions of the family, offering airlines a modern single-aisle aircraft suited to both domestic and longer regional routes. Alaska Airlines has made the MAX an important part of its fleet modernization program, using the aircraft to replace older 737s while expanding its network.
  • N803AK is a Boeing 737-8 with manufacturer serial number 67803. The aircraft was manufactured in 2024 and received its FAA airworthiness date on May 29, 2024, followed by its U.S. registration certificate in June. It was delivered to Alaska Airlines in June 2024 and entered airline service on June 17, initially operating from Seattle and becoming part of Alaska's growing fleet of 737 MAX aircraft. The FAA identifies N803AK as a Boeing 737-8 powered by CFM LEAP-1B28 turbofan engines.
  • Since entering service, N803AK has been used across Alaska Airlines' extensive network, reflecting the flexibility of the 737 MAX 8. Flight records show the aircraft operating from Seattle to destinations including Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Omaha, Detroit, Charleston, and Guatemala City, demonstrating its role on a mixture of short- and medium-haul routes. Alaska Airlines lists the aircraft with a wingspan of approximately 117 feet 10 inches with winglets, a length of 129 feet 8 inches, a typical cruising speed of about 530 mph, and a maximum range capability of approximately 3,500 nautical miles.
  • This 1:200 scale model offers collectors an opportunity to add a particularly modern example of Alaska's fleet to their aviation collection. With its recognizable Alaska Airlines livery, compact single-aisle proportions, and detailed MAX 8 design, the model makes an excellent display piece for collectors of contemporary commercial aircraft, Alaska Airlines memorabilia, or Boeing 737 models.
